Teaching unprepared students can be a big challenge for faculty. But, there are many reasons why students are unprepared during their time as a veterinary student.

Are you having trouble translating complex concepts to students? Would you like to better help students understand “where they’re at” in a course? Do you feel confident in your conference posters? Do you want to show big impact in your promotion and tenure packet?

Courtney Vengrin, Veterinary Clinical Sciences, will help you learn how to create effective visual synopses of data for a variety of specific purposes–an influential tool for classrooms, advising, conference presentations, journal articles, and reports to administrators.

Participants will leave this interactive workshop with the basics of good visualization, which of their data is best for showing impact, and how to display that which is difficult to explain using Microsoft Excel.

Come learn about specific reasons students may be unprepared and how we can help them succeed in a rigorous, Vet Med curriculum.
